Kachuluru Boat is Out with Satyam Team Efforts!

The Kachuluru boat tragedy has left people in shock and sorrow. Earlier, a few bodies were found at Kothuru village in Polavaram Mandal, at Vadapalli and Chigurulanka villages in Kovvur Mandal, Pottilanka village in Kadiyam Mandal and Yedurlanka village in I. Polavaram Mandal. The bodies were decomposed beyond recognition and their family members were cried like anything back then. Later, the state government ordered to pull out the boat from the deep river to take out remaining bodies.

From nearly after 38 days of the boat salvage operation, Dharmadi Satyam group has finally extracted the boat and few dead bodies on Tuesday afternoon. Apart from the Satyam group, this operation also involves the hard work of deep scuba divers, NDRF, SDRF teams, state officials and local swimmers. Satyam group tried hard to pull out the boat with long ropes from nearly a week. They stopped the efforts for two days because of heavy rains and then again continued the operation.

This salvage operation by Satyam group which consists of 25 members costs around 22.7 lakhs to AP government. Kachuluru is the deepest area in the Godavari River and the water speed is very high there. Though opposition parties TDP, BJP and Janasena criticized and opposed the operation, the AP government instructed to find out the boat and finally got succeeded.
