With North Korea leader Kim Jong-un’s health getting critical, it has been reported that the leader’s sister Kim Yo-jong may take the hold over to Kim’s post to become the second-in-command to the country.
The 36-year-old leader is not well nowadays and there has been several rumors of his ill-health and even death. One of the media journalist has claims that Kim is dead however there is no such hint from any of the high command official from the country.
Kim Yo-jong is the younger sister of Kim Jong-un and the only one of his siblings considered a close and powerful ally. There are reports that she may take in charge over Kim’s command.
She first gained international attention in 2018, when she was the first member of the Kim dynasty to visit South Korea. She is also believed to maintain his sole control of the party, the regime and the military.
According to the reposts, Kim Yo Jong is likely now in charge of the Organization and Guidance Department (OGD) of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party (WPK).
If this comes true, then she might be considered as the second most powerful figure in the country after Kim Jong-un.
