Kiran Bedi Tipped to Be Andhra Pradesh Governor

The central government has proposed Kiran Bedi's name as the new the governor of AP. This comes amidst the demand for appointing a new governor.

Mr. ESL Narasimhan was appointed Governor of AP in 2009 and even after the bifurcation of Telangana and AP he continues to be the governor of both. However many people felt that he did not pay much attention to AP as the functions from Telangana capital Hyderabad. Also, BJP president and Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu on January 11 had written a letter to Union home minister Rajnath Singh seeking appointment if a new governor.

The centre seems to have taken into consideration the demands and thinks Kiran Bedi as the option for the governor as she is capable enough to tackle and handle difficult situations. However, the interesting fact that would be seen with time is whether a common or 2 sepearte governor is selected for both AP and Telangana respectively.
