Lokesh Criticizes YSRCP's Handling of Electronics Manufacturing in Tirupati
During the final day of campaigning, Jana Sena leader and actor Naga Babu joined Nara Lokesh in a roadshow through the temple city. Lokesh highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure from 2014 to 2019, the country's first electronics manufacturing cluster was established in Tirupati. He mentioned that over 50,000 people are now employed in companies like Celkon, Karbon, and Dixon Technologies at this cluster.
However, Lokesh criticized the current government, alleging that their focus on "commission" rather than industrial progress led to the departure of companies like Amaron from the district and the state. This, he argued, contributed to widespread unemployment.
Lokesh also accused Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and his son, the current YSRCP candidate, of instilling fear among locals and disrupting the sacred atmosphere of the pilgrimage center.
The BJP national president, speaking later, highlighted Prime Minister Modi's achievements and urged support for Tirupati's assembly and parliamentary candidates from the NDA alliance. He promised comprehensive progress for the constituency in the next five years.
