Maruti Suzuki To Sell 1 Million Cars Under ‘Mission Green Million’

India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday announced about investing ₹4,000 crores this year on new products and designs especially to create one million green cars over the next few years under its ‘Mission Green Million’.

The company will tell the customers about its benefits and will offer a bunch of options for customers comprising CNG, hybrids and electric cars. The Company has already sold one million green vehicles in India after the launch of CNG in 2010 and Smart Hybrid in 2015.

In the currently running auto-expo in Noida, New Delhi, Maruti Suzuki highlighted the importance of Mission Green Million and came up with CONCEPT FUTURO-e: A futuristic, dynamic and stylish coupe SUV concept. CONCEPT FUTURO-e demonstrates Maruti Suzuki’s perspective on reimagining future green mobility.

Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, "Mission Green Million is our commitment to bring advanced power train technologies for the Indian customers. In this mission, ‘Make in India’ will be our core philosophy."

Maruti Suzuki is likely to invest high in the Indian automotive market and will reach a mass audience through its marketing strategy and planning.
