Mithali Raj reaches 200 ODI milestone
On Friday, the match between Indian women and New Zealand Women was the 200th One Day International for Mithali Raj. She is the first female cricketer to reach this milestone. She has already added many records into her success list and this 200th ODI also joins her kitty.
Making her debut in 1999, Out of 263 Matches, Indian Women Played, Mithali Raj innings count was 200 with the Friday Match. Mithali has been part of 10 Test's and 85 T20I's international matches also. She has 7 hundred marked under her name and is also the leading running scorer in ODI’s bagging 6622 runs on an average of 51.33.
Mithali couldn’t perform well in her 200th ODI as she scored 9 runs off 28 balls where India got all out at 149 and in the run chase New Zealand women achieved the target with ease.
Her innings of 63 in the second ODI stepped in for the win of the match and also sealing the series 2-0 lead. Mithali’s International career is longest of all the female cricketers and stands in 4th place after Sachin Tendulkar, Sanath Jayasuriya, and Javed miandad when considered wholly.
