Modi on a two day visit to South Korea - Reaches Seoul
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to South Korea and has reached Seoul on Thursday. The visit is to strengthen the ties between India and South Korea and to enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse areas including trade and investment.
This is the second time Modi will be visiting South Korea and his visit this time is due to the invitation by President Moon Jae-in. Before departing, Modi said, "I am confident that this visit will help us to further strengthen this important partnership".
During the visit, Modi will be having bilateral and business engagements, address Indian community and will also accept the Seoul Prize which was announced by the Seoul Peace Prize Cultural Foundation in October last year.
As fellow democracies, India and ROK have shared values and a vision for world peace.
As fellow market economies, our needs and strengths are complementary.
ROK is an important partner for @makeinindia, @swachhbharat and @startupindia initiatives.
