Montana Boy Attacked for Disrespecting National Anthem
A 13-year-old Montana boy was attacked by a man for disrespecting the national anthem. Curt James Brockway of Superior Montana, was charged with the assault on a minor based on statements from an eye witness. The witnesses reported that the man threw the boy on the ground as he didn’t remove his hat when the national anthem was playing.
The witnesses told the boy was lying on the ground and blood was gushing out of his ears. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Spokane, Washington. Child parents told that blood was coming out of his ears for as long as six hours. He also suffered temporal skull fractures and was later released from the hospital after being treated.
According to Sherriff Mike Boone, the 39-year old culprit was arrested from the Mineral County Fair on Saturday and he will be arranged in the Justice Court on 14th August. As per Montana court records, he is a registered violent offender. Prosecutors want his bail to be set at $100,000.
Brockway made a statement that he had every right to do so as the boy was disrespecting the national anthem. As per the US code for the national anthem, men in uniform should salute while others can do so. Also, people should remove their hats if they are not in military uniform and should put the right hand over their heart. People should also face the flag when the anthem is being played.
