NTR Jr Pays Tribute to Grandfather NTR on His 101st Birth Anniversary

Hyderabad: Actor NTR Jr Pays Homage to Grandfather and Former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao
On Tuesday morning, NTR Jr, renowned for his role in the blockbuster film "RRR," paid tribute to his grandfather, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), on the occasion of his 101st birth anniversary. The actor was seen at NTR ghat, offering his respects with folded hands at the memorial dedicated to his illustrious grandfather.
Accompanying NTR Jr in this solemn event was his brother, Nandamuri Kalyanram, who also paid his respects by offering flowers at the memorial. Additionally, NTR’s son, actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, was present to honor his late father.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, affectionately known as NTR, was a multifaceted personality who made significant contributions to Indian cinema and politics. He served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years and left a lasting legacy in the film industry. NTR received three National Film Awards for his co-productions "Thodu Dongalu" (1954) and "Seetharama Kalyanam" (1960), as well as for directing "Varakatnam" (1970). His performances in films like "Raju Peda" (1954) and "Lava Kusa" (1963) earned him the prestigious Rashtrapati Awards.
On the professional front, NTR Jr is set to star in the Pan-India film "Devara," alongside Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. Additionally, he will feature in "War 2," directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for his works "Wake Up Sid," "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani," and "Brahmastra."
