NTR Mahanayakudu Movie Review
The most-awaited NTR biopic part 2 ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’ has been released today. The film showcases the political career of late NTR. Let’s see how well Krish directed the film!
Cast: Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vidya Balan, Kalyan Ram, Rana Daggubati and others
Director: Krish
NTR Mahanayakudu Story:
The story of Mahanayakudu begins with NTR (Nandamuri Balakrishna) launching the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Soon, he starts touring and campaigning for the party to various parts of the state. We can see his son Hari Krishna (Kalyan Ram) as charioteer for his Chaitanya Ratham.
NTR then becomes Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh with the huge support of people. The real story begins when he loses power due to a political conspiracy. Basavatarakam will be seen as very supporting (Vidya Balan) to NTR and how she lost her life due to cancer is also showcased well.
NTR Mahanayakudu Review:
Balakrishna as his father NTR played perfectly and his scene with Indira Gandhi about Telugu’s self-respect came out very well. Vidya Balan as Basavatarakam pours in the emotions and depth to the film. Her dialogues and the word ‘bava’ which she used to call NTR will impress most of the people. Kalyan Ram as Hari Krishna and Rana Daggubati as NTR’s son-in-law Nara Chandrababu Naidu were decent.
Bharath Reddy as NTR’s another son-in-law Daggubati Venkateswara Rao and Vennela Kishore as Rukmangadha Rao did well. Bollywood actor Sachin Khedkar as NTR’s friend turned enemy, Nadendla Bhaskara Rao impressed the audience by doing his best.
Krish has balanced the emotional and political scenes intelligently. The script was intensifying. Music composer MM Keeravani’s background score is appreciable for its intensity. Cinematography done by VS Gnana Shekar is realistic. Editing by Ramakrishna could have been better in a couple of scenes. Writer Sai Madhav Burra’s dialogues were powerful and emotional. Art Director Sahi Suresh did great work by making things look as realistic.
What’s Good:
- Cast
- Dialogues
- Length of the film
What’s Okay:
- Lack of emotional connect
- Predictable narration
What’s Bad:
- Nothing
Verdict: NTR Mahanayakudu is definitely a feast for Nandamuri fans, but for others, it’s a one-time watch!
