Nara Lokesh's Yuva Galam Padayatra resumes today
On Monday at 11.19 am, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh will resume his Yuva Galam Padayatra from Podalada in Konaseema's Razole Assembly constituency. Lokesh will resume the yatra after his father and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu's September 9 arrest in the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation case.
Lokesh will speak at Tatipaka Centre. Kuppam was the starting point for the yatra, which ended in Itchapuram, Srikakulam. Lokesh resumed his padayatra after 79 days. Due to the long journey to Itchapuram, Lokesh may abandon the yatra in Visakhapatnam due to political changes. Lokesh's yatra may end soon because the State will hold elections in March or April.
TDP sources say Lokesh's padayatra will arrive Visakhapatnam via Tuni after sweeping eight Assembly constituencies in East Godavari. Lokesh, who began his padayatra on January 27, has walked 2,852.4 km in 208 days. He visited 84 Assembly constituencies in nine erstwhile undivided districts and attended public meetings at 66 venues during the yatra. Over 4,000 padayatra petitions have been submitted. Lokesh is scheduled to make ‘fiery’ statements against the YSRC administration during his padayatra, citing the former Chief Minister's ‘illegal’ detention in the skill development case
