PUBG Among 118 Mobile Apps Banned By Indian Government

Indian government on Wednesday banned 118 more mobile applications, including the popular gaming app Pubg mobile.
As per the Union government, they were engaged in activities that are prejudicial to sovereignty, integrity and security of the state.
The statement explains that there were a number of complaints which were received from various sources and included reports about the misuse of mobile apps which were available on Android and iOS platforms.

Also, this is the third time that the Indian government has issued a list that targets mobile apps made by Chinese companies. Another list of 47 Chinese apps was issued in July to ban programs that were trying to clone the apps banned in the first iteration.
This move will safeguard the interests of crores of Indian mobile and internet users. This decision is a targeted move to ensure safety, security and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace, the ministry said.
