Passenger Slapped on IndiGo Flight Goes Missing, Sparks Outrage

A mysterious case has emerged involving a young man, Hossain Ahmed Mazumdar from Assam’s Cachar district, who went missing after a disturbing incident aboard an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Kolkata. In a viral video, Hossain, seemingly experiencing a panic attack, is seen being escorted by flight crew when another passenger unexpectedly slaps him.
Hossain, employed at a gym in Mumbai, was en route to his hometown of Katigorah. After the incident, he was supposed to take a connecting flight from Kolkata to Silchar but never arrived. His family, waiting at Silchar airport, has not heard from him and claim that his phone remains switched off and located in Mumbai.
The family, deeply distressed, has contacted local authorities and lodged a complaint, but there has been no update on his whereabouts. His father, battling cancer, expressed anguish over his son's disappearance and pleaded for help in tracing him.
Social media users have strongly condemned the incident, raising serious concerns about airline procedures, passenger safety, and the treatment of individuals with potential mental health issues. Many are demanding accountability from IndiGo and authorities.
IndiGo issued a statement confirming the onboard altercation and stated that the “unruly” passenger was handed over to security at Kolkata. However, their statement failed to clarify whether Hossain received any medical or psychological support or where he was taken afterward.
The lack of clarity and continued disappearance of Hossain has sparked national attention, with many calling for urgent intervention to locate him and hold those responsible accountable.
