Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has congratulated the Indian Women’s Cricket Team for their remarkable victory against Australia in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 semifinal. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he hailed the team’s performance and spirit, calling their triumph a proud moment for the nation.
“Hearty congratulations to the #TeamIndia Women’s Cricket Team for a spectacular victory over @AusWomenCricket in a thrilling semifinal, reaching the final of the Women’s World Cup,” Pawan Kalyan wrote. He commended the players for their grit, sportsmanship, and determination that powered India’s record-breaking chase of 339 runs — the highest ever in women’s ODI history.
The Deputy Chief Minister gave special mention to Jemimah Rodrigues, whose unbeaten century anchored the chase, and captain Harmanpreet Kaur for her inspirational leadership. Pawan Kalyan expressed confidence that the team would continue their winning form and lift the World Cup in the final against South Africa on November 2.
