Polling Touches 50 In Mumbai
Long weekends are the most awaited in Mumbai, as a get away from the hectic life and busy schedules, however in this long weekend, Mumbaikar's decided to stay back and vote instead of sneaking away.
Apart from 2014 polling, this time in 2019 a recording of 55.1% turnouts in the post-liberalization era. Despite high humidity and stroking sunlight Mumbai public chose to vote rather than spending a long holiday.
The percentage of the voters in the city since 1989 to 2019 have hit highest as well as lowest numbers, like 41.6% in 1991, 50.4% in 1998. Then lower in 2009 at 41.4% to the jump of 51.6% in 2014.
All this show a spike of approximately 14 % in a decade and a 3.5 % rise since the Modi wave.
As this was the final phase, the year 2019 showed voters turn out to be second highest in the last thirty years.
The result of the 2019 LokSabhaelection will be declared on 23th May.
