Pulwama Encounter Ends
After a 16-hour encounter in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama district, Pinglan area on Monday, the army of India were successful in erasing out terrorists involved in the February 14th CRPF bomb attack.
Reports mentioned that 3 Jaish terrorists and a Pakistani Commander who is involved in bomb attack were beaten to dust.
Four Army personnel, including a Major of the Indian army, were martyred in the encounter. A joint team of Army's 55 RR, CRPF and SOG whisked off the area in the early hours having information about the presence of terrorists.
During the search operation, terrorists got alerted and opened the gunfire. During the encounter, four Army soldiers including a Major were killed. The killed were Major DS Dondial, Head Constable Save Ram, Sepoys Ajay Kumar, and Hari Singh.
Two civilians were also killed during the encounter. The civilians were the owners of the house where the terrorist was reportedly made as a hideout.
The news is that mastermind behind Pulwama attack Abdul Rashid Ghazi was killed by security forces in Kashmir. Security forces gunned down top Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Ghazi alias Kamran followed with other terrorists.
Ghazi escaped narrowly during an encounter which took place before the Pulwama CRPF attack in which a local terrorist was killed and a soldier was martyred. Ghazi who was an Afghan war veteran and an IED specialist trained Adil Dar who drove the explosive vehicle into the CRPF convoy.
Ghazi was one of the closest and most trusted aides of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Maulana Masood Azhar
