Raheja Mind Space Evacuated, As One Employee Tested COVID-19 Positive
We could see many people wearing masks, while others were using dupattas or handkerchiefs as they evacuated the building.
Traffic had packed up at the gate of Raheja Mindspace, a tech and industrial park in the heart of Hyderabad's IT sector.
The government press release at 10.30 AM, today, said that there was one positive case and two suspected cases of the virus. Many companies got unofficial information that the preliminary tests identify that the two people could have contracted the virus.
As per the sources, the two people showed borderline symptoms and the government wanted to confirm the samples once again. One person among them works out of Building 20 in Raheja Mindspace.
Some companies functioning out of building 12B and 12C of Raheja Mindspace also asked their employees to leave for today and work from home for the rest of the day. The tech park has almost twenty buildings
One of the employees working in Building 20 said, "As soon as we got the information, everyone who reached the work didn't know what to do. Those who had not reached the place started returning home. We all booked cabs and figuring out how to get home, it has left many of us uneasy."
As per the Telangana government, 45 people were found negative for the virus test. They have been discharged and advised strict home quarantine for at least 14 days. Two patients have still been kept in isolation. The 24-year-old, who tested positive is recovering, said the doctors.
