Ranbir Kapoor Opens Up About His Father’s Disease
Ranbir Kapoor on Saturday said his dad Rishi Kapoor is healthy and will be gotten back home in a month or two.
The 66-year-old on-screen actor is experiencing treatment for cancer in New York since September a year ago.
"He is improving and ideally he ought to return in a month or two. His spirits are up. He gets loads of inspiration from all of you.
"It has been a hard one year for him. His longing and just undertaking in life are to act in films. So, this one-year vacation has been a little mishap for him. Be that as it may, he is finding real success," Ranbir told journalists here at an occasion.
Producer Rahul Rawail had uncovered early this month via web-based networking media that Rishi Kapoor is without cancer.
Rishi Kapoor's senior sibling Randhir Kapoor had told PTI, "He is experiencing treatment, he is vastly improved. He is nearly cancer free. He will set aside some effort to return as he needs to complete his course. He will be here in the following couple of months. Very soon."
In the meantime, the Kapoor family's notable RK Studio in Chembur has been procured by reality firm Godrej Properties to create extravagance pads and retail space.
Discussing this, Ranbir stated, "RK studio was RK studio in light of my granddad (Raj Kapoor). You feel pitiful that the studio won't be there any longer. RK studios are more in soul and I figure I might want to take the inheritance forward by delivering movies and making motion pictures."
Ranbir was chatting on the sidelines of an occasion - 'Panasonic Cricket Dil Se' where kids from NGOs were seen playing cricket with the actor.
