Rohit Sharma Refutes Rumours Of Rift
After the Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli ruled out rumours about the animosity between him and the Indian opener, Rohit, popularly known as hit-man Sharma took to his Twitter account and posted, “I don’t just walk out of my team, I walk out of my country”. Even coach Ravi Shastri had also refuted to the rumours of difference between the two players.
Kohli had told that are people feeding off lies. He gave this statement ahead of the team’s departure to the United States for West Indies series. He expressed his thoughts on the topic and said, “In my opinion, it is baffling. It’s absolutely ridiculous to read these kinds of stuff, that comes out there. I have been to public events where we have been praised and here, we are feeding off lies, overlooking facts, turning a blind eye to all good things that happened and creating fantasies and scenarios in our head. We want to accept that this is the truth.”
There were even rumours that both the players are even avoiding eye contact and are not on talking terms. Speaking about the unity in the team, he said if there was no unity in the team, we would not have played the quality cricket that we played till now. He also told that the environment in the dressing room is jolly and they crack jokes all the time.
The right-handed batsman, who has helped Indian win games on countless occasions, is also the vice-caption of the Indian cricket team.
