SIT denies the link of Pragya Thakur in Gauri Lankesh’d death
The special investigation team testing the columnist dissident Gauri Lankesh murder case Thursday denied a media report about BJP MP competitor from Bhopal Pragya Singh Thakur's contribution in the wrongdoing.
An English every day Thursday revealed that there was a probability of the Pragya Thakur's connection with the homicide.
The SIT issued an official articulation, saying it didn't discover her contribution at any phase of the examination nor discover her name referenced in the charge sheet.
"SIT has not found in its examination or referenced in the charge sheet any connect to Pragya Thakur, Malegaon impacts, Abhinav Bharat. There is no proof to recommend the equivalent. No archives indicating the equivalent have been submitted to the Hon'ble Court," the announcement read.
The SIT has so far captured 16 individuals while two are still everywhere regarding the homicide of Gauri Lankesh, who was shot dead outside her home in Bengaluru on September 5, 2017. The SIT has blamed a pack for Right-wing individuals, who were enlivened by a book brought out by Sanatan Sanstha, for the homicide.
The Supreme Court had in February this year requested that the SIT ought to likewise examine the homicide of Left-inclining scholarly M Kalburgi, who was executed in August 2015.
