Special Coaches To AP For Testing Patients

In a fight to contain the deadly coronavirus which has killed around 250 people and infected around 7450 people in India, southern Railways has taken a big step by providing a special train to Andhra Pradesh for testing the positive cases in the state.

The train will have 10 coaches in total with each coach equipped with 10 beds and all the necessary medical equipment for medical assistance. There will be a total of 100 beds on the train.

According to the railway offers, all the ten coaches will be made available by tomorrow. The coach care department is in charge of all its requirements.

Out of the 10 coaches, eight coaches will be general coaches while the remaining two coaches will be the sweeper coaches. All these coaches will be equipped with all the medical kits and oxygen so that the patients don’t face any problems there.

Already, 50 coaches were sent to Narsapuram, Machilipatnam, Kakinada and Vijayawada stations. Also, they have been made in such a way that if they did not come to any medical use then they could be used for regular work.
