Stop Temple Politics, Says KCR
TRS chief and CM K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday went hammer and tongs at PM Narendra Modi and slammed BJP for its “political Hindutva and spreading hatred against other religions” at his election meeting in Nizamabad.
Hinduism teaches love. The Bhagavad Gita preaches love. But duplicate Hindus are spreading hatred by propagating that abusing Muslims and Christians is real Hinduism. In the name of Ram Janmabhoomi, the BJP is indulging in propagating their brand of religion, KCR said.
Reminding that he himself performs yagnams, KCR said the BJP does not have to tell people what Hinduism is. “ Do not indulge in janmabhoomi politics. It is for Hindu religious leaders to decide on Ram Janmabhoomi or any such manner. In any case, the matter is in Supreme Court. Let the court decide. Do not play religious politics in the country,” KCR added.
KCR commented, “ they are talking about Ram Janmabhoomi. And then they will talk about Ravanajanmabhoomi, KrishnaJanmabhoomi, Duryodhanajanmabhoomi, and shoorpanakajanmabhoomi." He went on to say: "the responsibility of a political party is to provide jobs, solve the unemployment problem, provide power supply and take care of the needs of the people of the country, not fan religious tension.”
KCR charged the BJP and Congress with indulging in cheap politics in the country. “ There will have to be a new economic model in the country. A new agricultural policy is needed. If necessary, the constitutional amendment will have to be made to take further the progress of the country,” he said.
