Super Bowl 2019: New England Patriots won sixth championship

The New England Patriots won the sixth championship of Super Bowl LIII for the sixth time with a 13-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. It was NFL's second-highest scoring team to just a single field goal.

First quarter | Patriots 0, Rams 0: Lot of action but no single point! Though Patriots moved Rams territory on each of their first two possessions, they failed to punch the ball in.

Finally, the Rams got a movement on their second possession of the game but Patrick Chung ended their drive with a great play of on a third-and-4 in Patriots territory.

Second quarter | Patriots 3, Rams 0: New England Patriots scored first on the opening drive of the second quarter. Gostkowski nailed a 42-yard field goal to put New England up 3-0.

During the second quarter, Julian Edelman scored 7 catches, 93 yards at halftime, whereas Rams struggled to move the ball, but failed.

Third quarter | Patriots 3, Rams 3: The Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein scored a 53-yard field goal of the quarter. It was the first field goal to beyond 50 yards in a Super Bowl in 15 years.

A record-setting punt by Hekker (65 yards, the longest in Super Bowl history by 1 yard) and an injury to Patriots safety Patrick Chung, who declared out of the game, are the two biggest developments of the third quarter.

Fourth quarter | Patriots 13, Rams 3: Patriots made their victory official with a 41-yard field goal by Gostkowski as Zuerlein missed an attempt to make it a one-score game as there is no time left.

So, the Patriots, which started 17 years ago achieved success this night with a 13-3 win which has given Bill Belichick and Tom Brady their sixth 'Lombardi' Trophy.
