TV Actor Veer Sharma and Brother Die in Kota Fire Tragedy

A devastating fire broke out late Saturday night at the Deep Shree apartment complex in Anantpura, Kota, Rajasthan, claiming the lives of child TV actor Veer Sharma, aged 10, and his elder brother, Shaurya Sharma, 15.
Reports indicate that the fire originated on the fourth floor, where the brothers were alone. Neighbors spotted heavy smoke and rushed to their aid, breaking open the door and pulling the children out. Despite their immediate transfer to a nearby hospital, both were declared dead on arrival due to suffocation from thick smoke.
Preliminary investigations suggest an electrical short circuit as the likely cause. Superintendent of Police Tejaswini Gautam confirmed that the drawing room was completely destroyed and other sections of the flat were also damaged. Station House Officer Bhupendra Singh stated that electrical fault remains the primary angle under inquiry.
Veer Sharma was gaining recognition as a child actor in television serials, while his elder brother Shaurya was a student. Their mother, Rita Sharma, is also an actress, and their father, Jitendra Sharma, works as a faculty member in a private coaching institute in Kota.
The tragedy has left the family shattered and the local community grief-stricken. Residents gathered to console the bereaved parents and pay respects. The incident has sparked renewed calls for stricter fire safety measures in residential buildings, particularly high-rise apartments.
For the entertainment industry, Veer’s death is a heartbreaking loss of budding talent. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of electrical safety and timely emergency response. Authorities have assured a detailed investigation into the cause of the fire. For now, Kota mourns the loss of two young lives taken in a tragic accident that has left an irreplaceable void in their family and community.
