Telangana To Increase Isolation Ward Beds

As a precautionary step, the Telangana government is planning to increase the number of beds in isolation wards to 300. This step was taken soon after the state registered its first case of the deadly coronavirus.

The government has also ordered to procure 25,000 N95 masks, 10,000 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), and 25,000 sanitizers within the state. The main attention has been given to set-up isolation wards at the chest hospital.

According to the reports, suspected cases are being reported every day. Also, the government has released a special advisory for doctors dealing with such cases. Meanwhile, it was also decided that 15,000 additional N95 masks and other personal protective equipment will be procured to deal with an impending outbreak of the dreaded virus.

Dr. Rao has advised people to take the necessary steps to avoid being caught by the virus. It includes avoiding overly crowded places such as Numaish and the MedaramJatara. People should wash hands at least three to four times a day and while coughing or sneezing try to block the droplets so that the disease doesn’t spread.
