The Great Khali Condemns Haryana Athlete's Murder, Urges Societal Change

WWE legend and BJP leader The Great Khali, whose real name is Dalip Singh Rana, has strongly condemned the tragic killing of 25-year-old Haryana state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav by her father in Gurugram. Speaking to ANI, Khali called the act shocking and heartbreaking, urging a societal shift in mindset toward daughters and their aspirations.
“This is not just a crime—it’s a mentality issue,” Khali said. “If we continue to harm our daughters, how can we uphold the slogan ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’? We cannot dream of being a vishwaguru unless we respect and support our daughters.”
Radhika was shot dead last Thursday while cooking in her family home. Her father, Deepak Yadav, reportedly fired five bullets, three of which fatally struck her in the back. He has since been arrested and has confessed to the crime. A licensed .32 bore revolver used in the murder was recovered by police.
According to emerging details, the father was allegedly distressed over Radhika’s rising fame on social media, her recent music video, and disagreements surrounding the tennis training she conducted. Although she did not run a formal academy, she trained youngsters by renting courts—a pursuit her father reportedly opposed. A WhatsApp chat between Radhika and her coach suggests she was considering moving abroad due to domestic tensions.
Khali, who is also a father to a daughter, emphasized that daughters deserve equal opportunities and support. His remarks echo growing public outrage and sadness, as citizens demand stricter measures to prevent such incidents and promote gender equality in every sphere—from sports to social life.
