Three New COVID-19 Cases In Telangana
Three new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Telangana on Friday, taking the total in the state to 19, officials said. The 3 include an 18-year-old woman, a city resident who returned from London, a media bulletin on COVID-19 said. The woman has been referred from a private hospital and she is presently admitted to the state-run TB and Chest Hospital in the city.
Two Indonesians, aged about 27 and 60 years, were among the 10-member group that stayed in Karimnagar town for 2-days. They were undergoing treatment at Fever Hospital and are said to be stable. Besides, 2 Indonesians, a teenager who arrived in the city from London, tested positive for the virus and was admitted to Chest Hospital.
On Wednesday, 7 Indonesians tested positive while another 1 tested positive on the previous day. After the state reported 8 positive cases in a single day, the health authorities screened over 25,000 people but none of them showed any symptoms of coronavirus.
Meanwhile, a report from Warangal said the wedding reception of a man, who returned from France that was scheduled to be held on Friday, has been canceled after the police convinced the family against going ahead with the event. The man had no symptoms of the virus. The marriage took place on Thursday.
