Unlock 1.0, Know What Is Allowed And From When
The ministry of home affairs on Saturday issued fresh guidelines to reopen the country in a phased manner as the fourth phase of lockdown comes to an end on May 31.
All activities outside containment zones have been allowed to resume in a phased manner from June 1. The guidelines will come into effect from June 1 and will be effective till June 30.
Religious places and places of worship for public, hotels, restaurants, other hospitality services, and shopping malls will be permitted to open from June 8.
Schools, colleges, educational/training/coaching institutions etc, will be opened after consultations with States and Union Territories (UT). This will be done in the 2 phase of the unlock 1.0.
Movement by passenger and Shramik special trains, domestic flights; movement of Indian nationals stranded outside the country and of specified persons to travel abroad; evacuation of foreign nationals; and sign-on and sign-off of Indian seafarers will continue to be regulated as per SOPs issued.
Meanwhile, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country is 1,73,763, including 86,422 active cases. While 82,369 patients have recovered after treatment, 4,971 deaths due to the infection have been reported so far in the country.
