Vanasthalipuram Pregnant Techie Murder Case Solved; Ex-Husband Arrested
The brutal murder of 30-year-old software professional Sunitha in Hyderabad’s Vanasthalipuram has been solved, with police arresting her former husband, Devarakonda Mahesh.
Sunitha, who was pregnant, was found stabbed to death in the bathroom of her residence at KNR Meadows in Kappala Cheruvu. Her current husband had left for work when the incident occurred and returned after being alerted by his mother.
Investigations revealed that Sunitha had divorced Mahesh in 2024 following marital disputes and a harassment case. She remarried in 2025. Police allege that Mahesh harboured resentment and entered the house in her husband’s absence before attacking her.
Authorities seized a car, mobile phone, and a bag containing knives from the accused. The swift arrest has brought some relief to the grieving family, though the shocking crime has deeply disturbed the local community.
Police officials stated that the case underscores the seriousness of unresolved domestic disputes and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring justice.
