Visakhapatnam: Rs 1.15 trillion MoUs signed on GIS on the second day.
On Saturday's second day of the Global Investors Summit in Visakhapatnam, 248 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed for investments worth Rs 1.15 trillion.
Some of them are Eco Steel Rs 849 cr, Blue Star Rs 890 cr, S2P Solar Systems Rs 850 cr, GreenLam South Limited Rs 800 cr, Express Well Resource Rs 800 cr, Ramco Rs 750 cr, Kribhco Green Rs 725 cr, Prakash Feros Rs 723 cr, Prathista Business Rs 700 cr, Taj Group Rs 700 cr, Alliance tyre group Rs 679 cr, Dalmia Rs 600 cr, Ana Oleo Rs 650 cr
At the investors' summit, the state's Chief Minister said that the state had received 340 investment proposals totalling Rs 13 lakh crore and providing jobs for almost 6 lakh people in 20 sectors. On the first day, 92 MoUs with investments totalling 11.5 lakh crore and job opportunities for almost 4 lakh people will be signed. On Saturday, the last 248 MoUs will be signed, bringing in 1.15 million crore and giving jobs to 2 million people. Jagan Mohan Reddy told the investors that his government was committed to making the country a good place for business and ensuring stable economic growth. "We will help create the best environment for business. No matter what you need, call us, "he said. The Chief Minister said that Visakhapatnam had become a vital economic hub because it has many public and private sector units, infrastructure based on the port, and many tourists. He said that Visakhapatnam is known for its strong industrial sector, beautiful scenery, and calm environment. He said 2023 will be a big year for India because it will host the G20 summit with the theme "one earth, one family, one future." He also said one of the most important G20 working committee meetings would be in Visakhapatnam.
This time, the Chief Minister clarified that Visakhapatnam would be the government's capital. At the opening ceremony on January 31 in Delhi, he said that Visakhapatnam would soon be the state's capital. Later, Finance Minister B. Rajendranath Reddy said at another opening ceremony in Bengaluru that the YSRCP government chose Visakhapatnam as the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. He was said to have said that the state won't have three capitals. People in politics began to think that the government led by Jagan Mohan Reddy had given up on the plan for three state capitals.
