What Is Allowed In What Zone During Lockdown 3.0
The Ministry of Home Affairs announced on Friday about the extension in the lockdown by two more weeks by May 17. With Lockdown 2.0 has come to an end and it’s new version about to start, there have been some relaxations made this time in the zones free of infection.
Lockdown 3.0 will not be as restrictive as its previous versions and shall allow some movement of people along with reopening of some economic activities. The complete list of what is allowed and what not is here-
1. Liquor stores will be allowed to open in both Orange and Green Zones. In red zones, the same is allowed only for standalone shops which are not part of any shopping malls or complexes.
2. E-commerce will be allowed for both essential and non-essential goods in Orange and Green zones. While in red zones, only essential goods and services are allowed for e-commerce.
3. Taxis and cab services will be permitted with one driver and two passengers in orange and green zones. The services will remain prohibited in red zones.
4. Four-wheeler vehicles will have maximum of two passengers besides the driver in all three zones.
5. All social, political, cultural and other kinds of gatherings and religious places or places of worship for public will also remain shut.
6. Activities and services like rail, metro and inter-State movement by road, running of schools, colleges, and other educational and training hospitality services, cinema halls, malls, gymnasiums, sports complexes are prohibited as of now.
7. Private offices can operate with up to 33 percent strength as per requirement, with the remaining people working from home.
8. It has been left to the state to allow or prohibit the domestic services such as those of housemaids and washerman.
