Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger to Be Unified ?
Facebook has been news recently for many reasons including data leak, privacy violations. Amidst all this, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s chief executive, plans to integrate the social network’s messaging services — WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger.
The services of all three platforms of communication will continue to operate as stand-alone apps, but their underlying technical infrastructure will be unified, said four people involved in the effort. That will bring together three of the world’s largest messaging networks, which between them have more than 2.6 billion users, allowing people to communicate across the platforms for the first time.
However, the plan which is in initial stages and supposed to be completed this year or by early 2020 will require Facebook to perform a lot of analysis on how facebook messenger, Whatsapp, and Instagram work before it is unified together as per the sources.
In a statement, Facebook said it wanted to “build the best messaging experiences we can; and people want messaging to be fast, simple, reliable and private.” It added: “We’re working on making more of our messaging products end-to-end encrypted and considering ways to make it easier to reach friends and family across networks.”
The recent controversies have spoiled the reputation of Facebook and it's growth also has decrease which might have led Mr.Zukerberg to unite the apps.
