With Highest Daily Spike Of Over 14,000 Cases, India’s COVID-19 Tally Close To 4 Lakh

India crossed 4 lakh cases of coronavirus today as the country reported over 14,000 cases today, the highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases.

The number of deaths in the country due to the coronavirus is close to 13,000. Also, India has the world’s fourth-highest number behind the United States, Brazil and Russia.

Their are1,68,269 active cases across all states, while 2,13,831 patients have been cured or discharged. Also, the recovery rate of Coronavirus cases in India is more than 51 percent.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in India with over 1.24 lakh cases followed by Tamil Nadu which reported 56,845 cases and then Delhi with more than 53,000 cases at present.

The country also tested the highest number of samples in the last 24 hours (1,89,869), as per the data released by the Union ministry. A total of 66,16,496 samples have been tested so far.

While globally, the COVID-19 count has crossed 86 lakhs with 4.5 lakh people succumbed to coronavirus.
