Zomato Delivery Rider Gallops on Horseback Amid Fuel Shortages in Hyderabad
In the midst of fuel shortages and long queues at petrol pumps during a truck driver protest in Hyderabad, a viral video captured a Zomato delivery agent's unique approach to fulfilling food orders. The clip showcases the delivery rider, donning Zomato's logo, galloping through the streets of Chanchalguda astride a horse, adjacent to the Imperial Hotel.
As the video circulated, the rider can be seen waving to onlookers, explaining to a passerby that he had opted for horseback delivery due to the petrol pump closures and prolonged queues. He revealed, "Petrol nahi mila bhai. Teen ghante line me khada raha. Zomato se nikal gaya..petrol nahi mila." (There was no petrol. I waited in the queue for three hours. I left after taking the order but couldn't get the petrol).
The truckers' protest had led to petrol pump closures and extensive queues, causing traffic congestion in Hyderabad. Although fuel availability was not an issue, apprehensions of shortages prompted a rush to petrol pumps. Barricades were observed at some pumps, and several motorists reported difficulty in filling fuel due to pump closures.
This unusual Zomato delivery on horseback exemplifies the inventive solutions people employ during challenging times, capturing attention and admiration on social media.
