Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Honors Fallen Forest Heroes, Stresses Urgent Need for Conservation
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan highlighted the essential role of forest conservation in ensuring human survival during a commemoration event held in Guntur, paying tribute to the 23 brave members of the forest department who lost their lives in service. Kalyan expressed deep respect for the forest department, pledging to support necessary reforms and additional funding from central and state governments to strengthen conservation efforts.
During the ceremony, Kalyan paid heartfelt homage to the fallen heroes, recognizing the risks faced by forest officials in protecting forests from poachers and smugglers. He emphasized the importance of remembering these sacrifices, stating, “Forest protection is essential for the survival of the human race. Many forest officials have lost their lives defending our natural resources.” Kalyan added that support had been extended to the families of the 23 martyrs, including officers and other staff members.
The Deputy Chief Minister underscored the significance of commemorating these sacrifices to ensure future generations understand the dedication and risks faced by those protecting India’s forests. He assured continued commitment to forest officials' welfare, emphasizing that these heroes' contributions would be remembered and respected. The event saw members from the Forest and Police Departments come together to honor the martyrs' memory, acknowledging their vital role in preserving the nation’s natural resources.
