Sachin Tendulkar Cries on his Coach Ramakant Achrekar
Ramakant Achrekar, Sachin Tendulkar's coach, has died in Mumbai. He was 86. He played an important role in building Sachin’s career.
Achrekar trained many young cricketers at Mumbai's Shivaji Park in Dadar. Tendulkar started playing cricket in 1989 and has become the first man to score 100 international hundreds and an ODI double hundred.
Sachin is also the only cricketer to play 200 Test matches. All this happened because of the support from his coach.
Sachin cried at his funeral and explained how he was supported by his coach and how he learned from him.
Achrekar was awarded country's fourth highest civilian award - Padma Shri in 2010 and Dronacharya Award in 1990.
