Bengaluru airshow fire destroys 300 vehicles
More than 300 vehicles have caught fire and were destroyed in Bangalore at the parking lot where air show was organized. The air show is run by the country's defence ministry and was the 12th air show this year.
No casualties were reported so far. Thick black smoke was seen at Yelahanka air base in north Bangalore. As per the officials, a cigarette thrown on the dried grass might have started the fire and it spread quickly because of strong winds.
Hundreds of vehicles were parked near the fire site. The fire department has removed all the vehicles in the surrounding to avoid the fire from spreading. Also, ambulances were rushed to sites in case of any casualties.
Fire has caused panic among the visitors and the air show has also been suspended because of the fire.
