CCD Founder Body Found!
The sixty-year-old coffee czar was missing since Monday night. Siddhartha is also the son-in-law of former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna. Siddhartha left from Bengaluru in his SUV and on the way asked his driver to take him to Ullal bridge. He told him to go ahead and he would come walking to the vehicle, but he never returned.
After about thirty hours of searching, the body of Café Coffee Day founder, VG Siddhartha was found in Netravathi river. The search involved people from multiple agencies with ships, boats and divers. His body was found floating near Hoige bazaar in the backwater of Netravathi river around 6.30 AM.
The city police commissioner Sandeep Patil said, “The body was found floating near Hoige Bazaar at around 6.30 am. The next process will go on as per law. Family members have been informed”. The body has been taken for post-mortem to Government Wenlock Hospital.
Earlier, he posted a letter to CCD board and the entire CCD family. He wrote that he did his best but he could not take the pressure any further and has to give up. The letter is yet to be verified. Siddhartha leaves behind his wife Malavika and two children.
