Centre releases additional Rs 1,000 crore to cyclone-hit Odisha
The Home Ministry on Monday reported the arrival of an extra ₹1,000 crore to the cyclone hit Odisha as declared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
An announcement from the Home Ministry said the sum would be notwithstanding the ₹341 crore that had been given to the Odisha's State Disaster Response Force ahead of time.
As reported by Prime Minister after his aeronautical overview and survey of aid ventures with the Odisha government, the Home Ministry has declared a further arrival of ₹1,000 crore for help to the State, the announcement said.
The cyclone Fani made a landfall in Odisha on May 3, causing broad harm in the State and asserting somewhere around 34 lives.
