“Go back to your country” Trump to Congresswomen
Social media on Sunday was set on fire when President Donald Trump made racist remarks on four democrat congresswomen. He told them to go back to their native countries and fix the problems there, before telling how to run the government here.
He took to Twitter and used it as a bully pulpit yet again. His tweet was retweeted more than 38000 times and grabbed over 179,000 likes as of Tuesday. It also left millions in rage and anguish. There were widespread protests from across the globe. Trump further created outrage and shock when he commented a day later on Monday that, “A lot of people love it by the way.”
The four congresswomen, who all are US citizens, are Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Ayanna Presley of Massachusetts.
Many Indian American democrats and celebrities took to social media and shared their experiences of having been told to go back to their country. Recollecting their incidents, they all charged on Trump for making such racist comments and told him that the US is as theirs as it is of any US-born citizen.
So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly......
