According to the annual report of Brand Finance, the brand value of India has been increased by a whopping 19% to $2,562 billion in the last year. It has become the seventh most valuable nation brand in the world, getting relief from the global relief crisis. "The Indian economy was quick to recover after the global financial crisis, with growth now reduced by a recent slowdown in manufacturing and construction sectors as well," it said.
The US got back the title of the world’s most valuable national brand value with a brand value of $27,715 billion and China has seen the increase in brand value by whopping 40% i.e., $19,486 billion in the last one year, occupying the next place. Germany comes third and Japan stood in fourth, replacing the UK, with 26% growth.
“Japan is increasingly becoming a tourism hotspot, with millions visiting every year hoping to soak up the culture and explore all the country has to offer. With the nation currently hosting the 2019 Rugby World Cup and next summer's Tokyo 2020 Olympics just around the corner, there is no doubt we will see an even greater uplift in Japan's brand strength in the future," David Haigh, CEO of Brand Finance said. Turkey has recorded a remarkable change with a 47% uplift from loss in 2018.
