Moving Statues Of A Man And Woman depicts Ali and Nino's love story
Love is a powerful emotion. Throughout history, couples in love have caused wars and controversy, created masterpieces in writing, music, and art, and have captured the heart of the public with the power of their love right from Adam and Eve to Romeo and Juliet. However, you would have never heard of the love story of - Ali and Nino.
It is a romantic affair between a Muslim boy Ali and Georgian princess Nino. Having Different cultural and religious backgrounds they faced many struggles in their path and despite that, they were separated for eternity by the invasion of Soviet Russia.
This love story is depicted in the form of two towering human structures made out of metallic discs in the seaside town of Batumi, Georgia. What's amazing is that these two sculptures move exactly at 7 pm every day when they move towards each other until their bodies meet for a short embrace and then again move away from each other facing the opposite direction.
The sculpture reflects Ali and Nino's love story in the most astounding way. This entire moment happens in 10 minutes and is definitely a perfect depiction and a symbol of love stories.
