US-Iran Tensions: US forming coalition with Allies
After a sudden statement of US President Donald Trump to launch an attack on Iran a few days back, the US is now forming a coalition with its allies to further handicap Iran. The motive behind this coalition is to keep an eye on the shipping activities in the Gulf course and to help fund the Sentinel program. The name of the countries, for now, is kept anonymous.
Early last week, Iran downed a US surveillance drone, which was flying over Hormozgan province, as they claim. But as stated by US Central Command Officer, the drone was over international waters of Strait of Hormuz, when shot down. In its counterattack, the United States launched a cyber-attack on Iranian weapons systems after the air strike was called off. The US is also blaming Iran for the recent oil tanker attacks.
The United States, as it seems, is ready for all the consequences. It is clear from the recent tweet of President Donald Trump, where the US is requesting Iran for two things – “No Nuclear Weapons and No Further Sponsoring of Terror!” They could send troops when needed, along with other countries, as stated by a senior official of the US State Department.
The tensions between the United States and Iran started thriving from last year. The reason being the US pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and other world powers. Since then, it is a tight situation. As per the president, launching attacks on Iran would be disproportionate. This is the reason why he called off the attacks, the other day.
....a dangerous journey. We don’t even need to be there in that the U.S. has just become (by far) the largest producer of Energy anywhere in the world! The U.S. request for Iran is very simple - No Nuclear Weapons and No Further Sponsoring of Terror!
