WhatsApp's New Green Look: What's Behind the Color Change?
WhatsApp, a popular messaging app, has changed its color scheme, switching from blue to green. This change has caught the attention of many users, especially in India, where the new green interface has started appearing on their phones. If you've seen this change, you're not alone.
Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, explained that this new color scheme is part of their effort to create a "modern, new experience" for users. They want to make the app easier to use and more accessible. The update affects both iPhone and Android users, with slight differences.
iPhone users, who were used to a blue theme, will now see a green status bar and chat list. Even links shared in the app now appear in green instead of blue. On Android, users will notice darker shades in dark mode and more readable light mode with extra spacing.
Apart from the color changes, WhatsApp has also made other adjustments. For instance, they've capitalized the first letters of "online" and "typing," so they now appear as "Online" and "Typing." These updates are aimed at improving the overall user experience on WhatsApp.
