Acharya Shoot Halted!

The dreadful coronavirus is raising fear in people every day. Though taking precautions like washing hands multiple times, not touching eyes, nose, and mouth often are being considered, the major solution is not being in the groups as the virus can pass easily from one to another. Keeping this in mind, different states of the country have ordered the schools, colleges, shopping malls, and other crowded places for a closure.
Telangana state government said that educational institutes will be closed until 31 March 2020, while movie theatres will remain closed until 21 March. Now, the movie industry too is supporting the government’s idea by postponing the release dates and shoots of their films. Already, Dil Raju announced that his film ‘V’ is postponed to April and now, Megastar Chiranjeevi said that the shoot of his upcoming film Acharya has been halted for 10 to 15 days.
"Government has taken a good decision regarding coronavirus to save the public. So, we, the cinema people should also support it. While making a film, there would be a lot of staff and so, I felt that the shoot should be stopped for some days and asked the same to Koratala Siva. He agreed to it immediately," said Chiru.
“There would be some financial loss, but the health of the people is more important than anything. So, I request every movie team to postpone their films for some time, till the effect of coronavirus reduces,” he added. Speaking about the film, Trisha who was roped in to play the female lead in the film has walked out of the film citing creative differences.
