Actor Karthi Demands Justice For Pollachi Case

The news of the Nirbhaya rapists being hanged to death has given a relief not just to her mother and the lawyer, who have been struggling to get justice for years, but also to all the people who have been waiting for the same. Though under the mask of ‘juvenile’, one of the culprits had escaped. Hanging the other four is at least some relief. The incident happened several years back and justice has been served now.

Though people are a bit disappointed with the delayed justice, they convinced themselves by saying ‘better late than never’. But is this the end? There are so many crimes happening around the nation on women. There are many cases that are still pending. There are many mothers waiting for justice to be served. And all those cases are needed to be solved without any further delay, is what people feel.

While people are celebrating the justice done for Nirbhaya, actor Karthi reminded about the Pollachi case which is nothing less than a sign of human cruelty. Also, he said that we shouldn’t forget the lessons we learned until now. “Finally justice for Nirbhaya after 8 years. Wondering how long it will take for the Pollachi case to find justice. It’s been a year already. Hope we don’t forget the lessons we learned from it! Always stay safe,” said Karthi.

On the film front, Karthi impressed both Tamil and Telugu audience with the film ‘Khaithi’, which has collected stunning amounts at the box office. But, his film ‘Thambi’ has failed to get a good response from the Telugu audience. Currently, he is working on his upcoming films ‘Sultan’ with which Rashmika Mandanna is making her Tamil debut and ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ which is an adaption of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s historic period novel with the same name.
