Actor Shefali Jariwala Passes Away at 42 Due to Cardiac Arrest

Renowned actor and model Shefali Jariwala passed away on June 27 at the age of 42, reportedly due to a cardiac arrest. According to early reports, she was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Mumbai by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and a few others. Sadly, doctors declared her dead upon arrival, leaving her fans and the entertainment industry in shock.
Shefali rose to fame with the chartbuster music video Kaanta Laga in the early 2000s, which earned her the title of ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’. She subsequently appeared in Bollywood projects like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, sharing screen space with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Her participation in the reality show Bigg Boss 13 further cemented her place in popular culture, especially due to her past relationship with the late actor Sidharth Shukla.
Shefali was previously married to Harmeet Singh of Meet Brothers but parted ways in 2009. In 2015, she tied the knot with Parag Tyagi. Her untimely death has deeply affected colleagues and fans alike. Singer Mika Singh expressed heartfelt condolences, saying, “Still can’t believe it. You will always be remembered for your grace, smile, and spirit.” Other celebrities such as Rajiv Adatia, Kamya Panjabi, Aly Goni, and Divyanka Tripathi also paid tribute to her.
Tehseen Poonawalla, a co-contestant from Bigg Boss 13, shared his grief on social media, highlighting the tragic fact that both Shefali and Sidharth Shukla from their season are no longer alive. He added, “Life is so short. Sending love and healing to her loved ones.”
