Actress Accuses Saaho for Blatant Theft!

Saaho, the big film, which took two years and a huge budget to complete is now accused of theft of creativity. Mahesh Babu’s movie 'Takkari Donga' actress Lisa Ray identified one of the costly sets in Saaho as a copied one! In the song ‘Baby won’t you tell me’, the backdrop has an expensive set which resembles the artwork of artist Shilo Shiv Suleman. Sabu Cyril who did production design Baahubali has did for Saaho too. It is hard for anyone to think that it is just a coincidence as the set is very much similar to the artwork. After Lisa posting this on Instagram, many people had supported her.
“Creators are worthy of worship. What they produce are more lasting and precious so than all the other ‘things’ we accumulate that can be taken away. Let’s hold these producers accountable for their infuriating, dishonourable action. How would you feel if a thief slid into your home and took away your most prized possessions?,” Lisa questioned.
“I believed the Hindi film industry was evolving necessarily past stealing storylines and rampant plagiarism but the producers of Shahoo have obviously not gotten the memo when it comes to art,” she said. “The creators don’t care enough bcz they know they can get away with it. Not many Indians r on social media & even if they were, they wouldn’t think it’s a big deal cuz Bollywood & every film industry in India has been doing it since forever. Plus nobody in the industry is brave enough to grow a spine & raise a voice. This era is especially about copying from songs to movie remakes to creativity. If actors within the industry with a large fan following don’t raise a voice against these crimes, nothing’s really gonna change cuz the audience literally worships them,” one of the followers commented. It is high time, movie makers should behave with consciousness as people are becoming smart these days. One should understand that creativity is a great gift and plagiarism of it is a crime!
