Actress Takes A Dig At Viral Video Showing Her Buying Alcohol

Recently, a video of Rakul Preet Singh started doing rounds on the Internet that claimed that the actress had purchased alcohol during the lockdown.

Rakul is not new to online trolling. Without mincing words, the actress makes sure that she hits back at the social media bullies.

On Thursday, she took to Twitter to trash a tweet falsely saying that she was buying alcohol in the market.

“What was @Rakulpreet buying during the #lockdown? She was buying alcohol?” read a tweet by @KRKBoxOffice. In the video Rakul has a mask on her mouth and is seen carrying a few items in her hands, rushing to her car.

Rakul replied, “Oh wow! I wasn’t aware that medical stores were selling alcohol.”

Rakul’s fans asked her to ignore the haters. “Why bother answering detractors @Rakulpreet. This is an invasion of your privacy by making a video and putting it online. Ignore it and move on,” wrote one.

Others also quite rightly pointed out that there was nothing wrong even if she was buying alcohol.

Meanwhile, her yet-untitled family comedy movie with Arjun Kapoor is also in the pipeline. The movie is directed by debutant Kaashvie Nair and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Nikhil Advani, and John Abraham.
