Alia Bhatt Applauds Yami Gautam’s Powerful Performance in Haq
Alia Bhatt has joined the growing list of film personalities praising Yami Gautam’s performance in the courtroom drama Haq. Taking to Instagram Stories, Alia described Yami’s portrayal as one of the finest female performances she has witnessed, calling it a blend of pure craft and heartfelt emotion.
The actress revealed that she personally called Yami to congratulate her on the film, openly declaring herself a fan. Alia expressed excitement about Yami’s future projects and said she eagerly looks forward to watching her continue to shine on screen.
Several members of the film fraternity echoed Alia’s sentiments. Filmmaker Farah Khan lauded Yami’s performance, predicting award recognition, while also praising Emraan Hashmi for delivering what she termed his best performance to date.
Currently streaming on Netflix, Haq is a courtroom drama believed to be inspired by the landmark Shah Bano case, which addresses women’s matrimonial rights within Muslim households. The film has been widely appreciated for its sensitive storytelling and strong performances.
